Pour son premier rendez-vous, il accueillera plus de 110 artistes, tous professionnels, parmi lesquels près de 90 peintres et une trentaine de sculpteurs, en provenance majoritairement de Normandie mais aussi d’autres horizons pour une vingtaine d’entre eux.

Cette exposition explore l'évolution de Degas dans la pratique du nu, de l'approche académique et historique de ses débuts à l'inscription du corps dans la modernité au cours de sa longue carrière. Occupant avec les danseuses et les chevaux une place prédominante dans l'oeuvre de l'artiste, les nus sont présentés à travers toutes les techniques pratiquées par Degas, la peinture, la sculpture, le dessin, l'estampe et surtout le pastel qu'il porte à son plus haut degré d'achèvement.

Degas and the Nude

This exhibition explores Degas's evolution in his practice of the nude, from the academic and historical approach of his early years down to the inscription of the body in modernity throughout his long career. A predominant element in the artist's work, together with dancers and horses, nudes are presented through all of the techniques used by Degas, including painting, sculpture, drawing, printing and above all pastel, which he brought to its highest degree of achievement.

Au Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon (macLYON)
Première grande rétrospective consacrée à l'oeuvre de Robert Combas.
Accompagnée d’une bande-son puisée dans l’immense discothèque de l’artiste et de performances « live » totalement inédites, elle présente plus de 200 œuvres, des années 70 à aujourd’hui.
« MA PEINTURE C’EST DU ROCK »
Une expo « rock on the good & bad side » sur 3000 m2, avec la présence quotidienne pendant 2 mois de Robert Combas, qui s’installe au musée dans un atelier/studio d’enregistrement où il peint et crée des clips azimutés.

First major retrospective of Robert Combas, who declares: "MY PAINTING, IT’S ROCK’N’ROLL", the exhibition Greatest Hits presents more than 200 works, from the 70s to today, accompanied with guitar, bass and drums on a soundtrack taken from the huge record collection of the artist and by live performances brand new.
An exhibition "rock on the wide size/wild side" on 3000 square meters and 3 levels, with daily presence during 2 months of Robert Combas, who installs at the macLYON a workshop/studio where he creates, in live, paintings and azimuth videos.

Au musée des impressionnismes Giverny
Cette exposition, qui réunira 80 œuvres du nabi Maurice Denis sur le thème du printemps, se propose entre autre de révéler un aspect peu connu de sa production : son talent de peintre décorateur. A cette occasion, un ensemble de dix panneaux issus de la maison du peintre de Saint-Germain-en-Laye sera installé dans les galeries du musée.

Maurice Denis, The Eternal Spring

The musée des impressionnismes organises an exhibition exploring the theme of spring in the work of Maurice Denis (1870-1943). The exhibition comprises approximately eighty works – paintings and drawings – and is accompanied by extensive documentation in the form of photographs, publications and correspondence. The works on show include loans from the most prestigious public and private collections, some of which have been displayed publicly only rarely or never at all in France.

Ouvert du mardi au dimanche de 11h à 18h, le jeudi jusqu'à 21h
« Dans la grande forêt, un petit éléphant est né. Il s’appelle Babar. »
80 ans plus tard, Babar devenu roi des éléphants, porte toujours son « costume d’une agréable couleur verte ». Il reste certainement l’un des héros de la littérature jeunesse les plus prisés des enfants mais aussi et surtout de leurs parents et grands-parents qui associent Babar à leur plus tendre enfance. Il fête aujourd’hui son anniversaire dans la galerie des Jouets des Arts Décoratifs. Babar, now king of the elephants and still wearing his ‘nice green suit’, has remained one of the most popular heroes of children’s literature, with children and of course their nostalgic parents and grandparents. The Arts Décoratifs’ Toy Gallery is celebrating the eightieth anniversary of Babar. The exhibition retraces the adventures of this hero of children’s literature since his creation in 1931.
