Bernard ORANGE is particularly talented in both the disciplines he practices, painting and drawing. His work is composed of a basic graphical structure, to which he adds the perpetual emotion that is unleashed by paint and colour.

Fascinated by art from a very young age, Bernard ORANGE has practised pointillism since 1970. Through this technique, he animates with light and unprecedented dimensions his designs which are often characterised by a detailed surrealism, and strange and humorous subtleties.

Since then, he has drawn from his inspiration to suit a wide variety of themes that are steeped in mysterious symbols, alluring, precise motifs, and strange beings. Eminently expressive, he never ceases to surprise and seduce.

Unquestionably, his incisive poetic treatment of reality transforms into strange dreams, and magic reveries inhabited by characters that turn our Cartesian way of thinking on its head. Yet it is in good humour that the subconscious in each of us is stirred, since the motifs leap out from the composition, capturing and retaining our attention and reflection.

The artist wins us over whether it is with his black and white Indian ink drawings, or his flowing-coloured paintings with their harmony, warmth, and notes of legend and fantasy. It is through his execution of fantasy creations that Bernard ORANGE excels, where good humour and vitality conveys an atmosphere of light and subtle, studied grace.

And so, it is with passion and talent that Bernard ORANGE has created himself a universe that is his own, and that he shares for his own great pleasure and that of awed art-lovers who enjoy encountering an intelligent and attractive style.

Discovering this artist represents a very original and enchanting adventure, unceasingly presented as an unknown and generous fruit, the heart of which is revealed to us not rigorously, but delectably.x, sachant livrer son essentiel, sinon avec rigueur, mais avec délice.
